I have updated the flow of my gallery a little, and created a drop-down menu to divide my different artwork.
Each of these new pictures were drawn using pen and ink, with color using Copic Ciao Markers. These things are great! They are alcohol based, which allows for much easier and seamless blending of the colors. They feel great in your hand while you use them, not bulky and unwieldy. Very user-friendly, even for a novice marker user like me.
Now, there are many different brands of markers that are good as well (Prismacolor and Faber-Castell Pitt to name just a couple). And yes, some are less expensive than the Copics. However, I chose the Copics for the fact that they are refillable. For about $10 I can get a refill ink that recharges my Ciao markers 13 times; so essentially I am getting 14 markers for the price of 1 or 2 of the other brand.
So, take a look at my new gallery set-up, check out the new images, and if you have an interest in learning to use art markers, my endorsement would have to go to Copic.
